Who am I?

In This Collage, I tried to show my emotions of coming to America. Seeing that I didn't want to come here I went through a lot. I'm a very patriotic person so I taught what better way to make a self-portrait than to include where I'm from. The two flags merging represents the two different personalities that I have, my American personality and my Trinidadian personality. Each item in the collage represents the emotion I felt of being here for the first time. I also decided to put one item that  I LOVE most about each country. A carnival costume for Trinidad because it's my favorite holiday over there, and I put a question mark for America because I don't know what I love most about America that Trinidad does not have. Don't get me wrong I still love America but like I said I'm patriotic so no matter what nothing is going to beat my love for Trinidad &Tobago.
From this post the message that I would viewers to take is "This is the real me" everything that I am revolves around the fact that I am an immigrant. This portrait is photoshopped, using it for the first time I actually felt comfortable with it. It might not be perfect but I believe it is presentable for a first time user. Inspiration came from Frida Khalo. I can honestly say that the meaning of my portrait is similar to Frida Khalo's, her self portrait was all about her emotions and how she felt through her life.
I'm mine I talked about my emotions leaving Trinidad and Living in America, and how it affected my life.
