My
trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art was very exciting to see all the
different art work on display. The MET museum didn’t just have paintings, they
also have different styles of art work like fine china, tables, sculptures,
armor, buildings, and even more. However, the museum didn’t offer many self-portraits
and photographs either. The first wing, I walk thru was the European Sculpture
and Decorative Art. The European paintings was mostly done on people of wealth
like kings and
queens or people high class or royalty. Include in their
paintings were there valuables, and wealthy clothing that represent them. Also,
the European wing have many religious backgrounds in their paintings. In some
of the European painting they had angles, and some priest. The angles were
mostly floating over the person who was laying down naked surrounding by
people. The European Wing surprise me more than other wings due how many paints
they have of Jesus Christ, and the virgin Mary.
They had different styles how did Christ and Mary look like some was
with blond hair with blues or born hair with dark brown eyes. After walking
through the European wing, I had end up in the American wing. When entering the
American wing, it was eye open seeing all the beautiful shining silverware,
gold pots, and the fine china. When walking on the second floor of the American
wing I notice on the first floor it was a beautiful garden with sculptures, and
the front or back of the white house. When walking through the American wing I
was expecting to see all the American president. However, I was wrong it was
many people of the first American wealth paintings. When view the painting I
notice our first president George Washington on the wall about three times
